Swedish Dishcloths | Seasonal Songbirds
Swedish dishcloths, also called sponge cloths, can replace up to 17 rolls of paper towels and help you to significantly reduce waste. They are an excellent paper towel alternative and are perfect for wiping spills, cleaning counters, and performing general cleaning tasks. They are safe to use on all surfaces and never leave a scratch.
These Swedish dish cloths are made with sustainably forested wood pulp and organic cotton and are free from harmful chemicals. They can absorb 20 times their weight in liquid and last 200 wash cycles. This genuine material is made in a Fair-Trade Certified facility on a river in Europe, where the freshwater is returned cleaner after going through the factory.
With these simple paper towel replacements, you can help create change. Over 100 single-use paper towel rolls are used annually by the typical American household. The production and use of conventional paper towels contribute to deforestation, chemical pollution, and landfill overflow. These reusable kitchen sponge cloths are the ideal, greener paper towel substitute and they are much more hygienic and environmentally friendly than synthetic sponges!
Use these dishcloths to clean countertops, do dishes, dust — in the kitchen and bath, and for general household chores. You can use it on granite, stainless steel, glass, wood, etc. It cleans streak-free! A Swedish Dishcloth is more efficient than paper towels, which are wasteful. One absorbs about 20 times its weight, and a single Swedish Dishcloth is able to do the job of 17 rolls of paper towels — saving trees, water and money. It's also more hygienic than sponges.
Wet your dishcloth with water and squeeze it out to make it more absorbent. You can use sprays, soap, or just water with it. You can also use it with vinegar and water. It is not for drying, but is for cleaning. It is not for use on cheese graters or other sharp items.
You can clean it in the washing machine, or in the top rack of the dishwasher. To sterilize, it can also be boiled briefly, or microwaved (when damp) for approximately one minute. You can also bleach your dishcloth. See below for more info. To air dry, hang it over the faucet, on the side of the sink, or lay flat. Do not tumble dry.

Le Parfait Canning Jar
Le Parfait Canning Jars use stainless steel wire clamps with airtight natural rubber seals, so you can feel good about your preservation. This system keeps the contents air tight, which means a long-term shelf life. Each jar is deeply embossed with the Le Parfait name, leaving plenty of room for future labeling, so you will know the quality of both the contents and their packaging.
Le Parfait's classic design complements jams and jellies, pickles and chutneys, dried fruit and nuts or even sweet treats. The jar's design also makes it a decorative element for non-canning needs. They work equally well for bath and body products, such as creams and lotions, bath salts and candles. Made in the heart of France since the early 1930s, Le Parfait is the glassware choice for discerning canning enthusiasts.

The 1 liter jar is good for individual soups or sauces, cut pickles and vegetables, crushed tomatoes and fruits, olives, salsas, baby food, seeds and nuts, spice and salt mixes, compound butters, ground or whole bean coffee. Uses 85 mm gasket made of a natural material. 34 oz. capacity. 6.75"" tall.
The 2 liter jar is good for individual soups or sauces, cut pickles and vegetables, crushed tomatoes and fruits, olives, salsas, baby food, seeds and nuts, spice and salt mixes, compound butters, ground or whole bean coffee. The metal lids of Ball and Kerr mason jars are lined with plastic and used to contain Bisphenol A, so purchasing them secondhand puts you at risk of contamination. With Le Parfait, your food comes in contact with only glass.
With Le Parfait jars, there’s no waste even when cooking large quantities of food. You can even use these jars to preserve all the fruits and vegetables from your garden without wasting anything. And the clear glass allows you to see inside, so no food gets forgotten and therefore thrown away.
When you buy a Le Parfait jar, it’s for a lifetime! A jar never breaks down so you can keep it for a very long time! You should find that it is only the rubber seals or caps that may require replacing.
Le Parfait products are safe for use in the freezer - just be sure to leave proper head space for expansion of the contents. Le Parfait can also take the burden off your freezer! It’s true that when you decide to deep freeze your food, you think you’re saving up time as it’s quicker to fill up your freezer rather than preserving. But think again... how long does it take to turn your frozen goods into something you can eat? Quite a while, as defrosting can be time-consuming and more importantly may dry out your product. Preserving, on the other hand, eliminates the need for defrosting, allowing your product to be ready to eat quicker. Preserving is ways easier, even though it takes a bit of preparation time. No need to wait for thawing, your recipe is ready in the blink of an eye! And don’t forget that your preserves can tag along with you almost anywhere... your frozen goods can’t!
Stainless steel wire clamp can be recycled at your local scrap metal recycling facility.
Love! Love! Love Le Parfait jars! The 3 liter size is great for storing sundries like flour and sugar. I am looking forward to buying more when they are back in stock. I do have these jars in various sizes and they are wonderful to store all types of snacks and teas. Highly recommend!

I had been searching for a plastic free alternative and this is perfect. It does an excellent job of cleaning and lasts for so many loads. I also love how little storage space it takes up. I highly recommend it!
I am very particular about my laundry; and I must admit I was skeptical about using only one and a half teaspoons of this powder. BUT, Meliora Laundry Power is as powerful as the liquid, plastic-packaged, heavy-carbon footprint laundry soap I used to buy. What I like about it most is my machine stays clean (NO residue) and my clothes are as bright as the liquid soaps I previously used. It's a feel good product - my laundry is super clean and my conscience is freed from heavy-carbon footprint detergents I used in the past. This product is a winner in my book!

Le Parfait Terrine Jar
Le Parfait Terrine Jars use stainless steel wire clamps with airtight natural rubber seals, so you can feel good in your preservation. This system keeps the contents air tight, which means a long-term shelf life. Since the terrines are straight edged with a slight taper at the bottom, preserved food can be turned out with little effort.
* Does not qualify for free shipping.
The 200-gram size is good for individual pates, layered terrines and potted desserts. The terrine can be used like a standard canning jar for individual soups or sauces, cut pickles and vegetables, crushed tomatoes and fruits, olives, salsas, baby food, seeds and nuts, spice and salt mixes, compound butters, ground or whole bean coffee. 7 oz. capacity. 3.25"" tall. Uses 70 mm gasket.
The 500-gram size is good for family-sizes pates, layered terrines and potted desserts. The 1000-gram size is good for family-sizes pates, layered terrines and potted desserts.

We strongly recommend never putting your zero waste utensils in the dishwasher or microwave as extreme temperatures can cause damage to wooden cutlery.

The Jungle Culture cutlery sets are hand carved at a carpentry studio located approximately 150km from Hanoi, in the rural province of Thanh Hoa. The topography of Thanh Hoa province makes it the perfect location for bamboo growth. Large swathes of the region are covered in steep, rocky mountains and the annual rainfall average in Thanh Hoa sits at around 70 inches. This unique ecosystem in Thanh Hoa means that bamboo can grow in abundance, and can be sustainably farmed by local people who have used it for construction and handicrafts for generations.
The Jungle Culture team partnered with a group of talented artisan craftspeople committed to supporting ethical and organic production and use only basic tools to aid the creation of their products. The owner of the farm and craft workshop that produces these cutlery sets is called Le Xuan Ha or "Ha" for short which means river in Vietnamese. He is a naturist and lives in a compound of 5 bamboo houses that he helped build, surrounded by mountains. The popularity of the hand-carved utensil sets has prompted Há to employ and train his family, friends and several other villagers. Providing them with jobs and skills while he has turned his focus to building bamboo houses which serve as accommodation for members of the local community.
Há treats his workers with respect and pays them fairly. He now employs between 5-10 people who carve cutlery and help with the construction of his bamboo houses. The pouches that house the sets are hand sewn by a group of seamstresses in Hoi An, Vietnam.
Jungle Culture is a proud member of the 1% for the Planet global organization and movement. They pledge 1% of their sales to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment. They donate to domestic and international grassroots and environmental groups which helps make a difference in their local communities.
Straw cleaner can be separated at the end of life. The coconut fibers are compostable, while the wire can be recycled in metal recycling.
The pouches are made using natural jute and organic cotton and are biodegradable and compostable once you remove the printed tag. These can also be recycled as a textile.
This is a gift I've given my niece and nephew. They love the carrying pouch so that it easily slips into a backpack. The cutlery pieces are strong, durable, and clean easily. No need to ask for cutlery with take-outs!

Swedish Dishcloths | Branching Flowers

Full Ingredient List [PEPPERMINT TEA TREE]: Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda), Vegetable Soap [Sodium Cocoate, Glycerin, Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Water], Organic Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Organic Melaleuca Alternafolia Leaf (Tea Tree) Oil
I loved the way this product cleaned my glass stove top. I sprinkled it on the stove that I had already spritzed water on. I spread it around and then I'd let it sit and come back every few minutes to do some extra scrubbing with a copper mesh scrubber. My stovetop doesn't look immaculate or brand spanking new but it looks SO much better. Photo attached is the after photo (I forgot to take a before). My favorite part about this cleaner is how amazing it smells and how I didn't feel like I had to wear gloves because it's basically vegetable soap. I can't wait to try it on my glass shower door!
