A plastic-free toilet brush won't shed microplastics into our waterways! This brush is constructed of bamboo, which belongs to the grass family, instead of wood. Bamboo regenerates far more quickly than wood and is incredibly lightweight and sturdy. Bamboo is often called "green steel" because of its durability and hardness. Trees can take over 30 years to reach maximum growth; in contrast, bamboo can reach full size in 3–4 months. Given the proper circumstances, it may grow three feet in a day. Compared to trees, bamboo is able to absorb 5 times more GHG emissions and produce around 35% more oxygen than most other plants!
